Global Notes: Stories and features across the globe. Not necessarily current news at all times, but stories that fit more into who/what we are at the current moment.

Design: All things pertaining to design - architecture, furniture, etc.

Culture: (Music, art, photography, film, etc.) - Indie to popular culture. Reviews, artist spotlight, etc.

Fashion: All things pertaining to fashion.

Life: From relationships to single parenting - all things pertaining to life in general.

(300-500 words; features 600-1000+ words.)

Queries: Send a one-paragraph query to Cassie Lee. Include a summary describing the article idea, an approximate length and date it could be finished. Email submissions preferred, please refrain from phone or fax pitches. [Note: You do not have to query a story idea before sending it in.] We will forward the query to the appropriate section editor.

Submissions: We prefer submissions as Word attachments. Your name and a one-two sentence bio should be included with your submission. Submissions to the website are on a donation basis (byline and bio are compensation). Articles are automatically archived. Please double-check spelling and grammar before submitting. All articles will be edited for length, grammar, content, style and tone.

Final Words

We do our best to respond to all inquiries, but be aware that we are sometimes inundated. If you have not heard back from us after 4-6 weeks, please assume that we will not be able to use your idea or submission.

Submissions to vhcle.com give us the right to modify, use, distribute, reproduce, publish and display the submission indefinitely in all media, means, and forms. By submitting a story, you are surrendering copyright of those pieces to Vhcle magazine for six months.

Material published elsewhere will generally not be considered for publication for Vhcle publications.

Moreover, Vhcle does not grant permission to reprint content on other websites or publications unless granted permission by the publisher.
